Job Title: Senior Manager, Global Security Engineering
Role Summary: Lead the global physical security engineering function, developing and executing a comprehensive technology roadmap, designing and integrating enterprise‑wide security systems, managing vulnerability and audit remediation, and overseeing maintenance and upgrade programs. Provide technical leadership, manage cross‑functional projects, vendors, and staff to protect people, property, and data.
Expectations:
- Deliver a long‑term security strategy aligned with risk management goals.
- Ensure timely, on‑budget project delivery and high service levels.
- Maintain industry knowledge and adapt security posture accordingly.
- Drive continuous improvement of performance metrics and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the enterprise physical security technology roadmap and strategies.
- Lead design, implementation, and integration of physical security solutions (e.g., Genetec Security Center, VMS, access control, surveillance).
- Manage vulnerability assessments, audit findings, and protective controls across the security portfolio.
- Oversee system maintenance, upgrade programs, and performance monitoring.
- Hire, evaluate, train, and compensate security engineering staff.
- Plan and manage enterprise‑wide platform projects, including schedule, resources, and status communication.
- Resolve complex availability and incident management issues.
- Evaluate, select, and manage vendor products and services for ongoing performance.
- Provide technical standards, thought leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current on industry trends and recommend strategy adjustments.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering or related field, with formal leadership experience.
- Expertise in physical security technologies (video management systems, access control, VMS, Genetec, CCure, Envoy, etc.).
- Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage cross‑functional teams, vendors, and complex enterprise projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing risk, vulnerability, and audit remediation in security contexts.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Genetec Certified Professional (Security Center VMS & Access Control) – preferred.
- Additional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or similar are advantageous.
