**Job Title:** DevOps / Application Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for administering, maintaining, and improving the Azure DevOps infrastructure that supports critical applications and development tools in a secure, onsite environment. Provides first- and second‑line support, implements automation, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure platform performance and reliability. **Expactations:** - Onsite work only; flexible schedule to maintain constant presence during business hours. - Eligible for Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance. - Deliver timely support and continuous service improvement without out‑of‑hours SLA obligations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage Azure DevOps environment, including planning and executing changes/upgrades. - Design and implement automation and optimization to enhance platform performance. - Produce and maintain accurate documentation of the DevOps infrastructure. - Provide first‑ and second‑line support; troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and performance issues. - Escalate complex problems to third‑line support or development teams as needed. - Collaborate with other departments and users to resolve technical issues. - Drive continual service improvement for operational efficiency. **Required Skills:** - Strong experience with Azure DevOps infrastructure and administration. - Administration of virtual and physical servers (Windows & Linux) and VMware vSphere. - Knowledge of DevOps concepts, best practices, and Active Directory. - Familiarity with Windows and Linux monitoring tools. - Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, Docker/Podman). - Proven problem‑solving, analytical, and customer‑service abilities. - Effective communication and teamwork across application, infrastructure, and networking groups. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Eligibility for BPSS and Security Check (SC) clearance.
