Export Control Manager (M/F)
**Role Summary**
Provide expert management of export control compliance for Airbus Helicopters, overseeing all military and dual‑use activities requiring authorisations. Serve as the primary point of contact for governing regulations across France, EU, US, UK, and German authorities, ensuring that all exports, sales, repairs, and transfers meet legal and regulatory requirements.
**Expectations**
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of applicable export control regimes (EU’s Dual-Use Regulation, US ITAR, EAR, UK MI and German MWG, French CEDEF).
- Demonstrate strong ethical judgment and business acumen within a highly regulated environment.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and cross‑functional teams to provide timely guidance and approvals.
- Manage and authorise export control documentation and procedures, ensuring full visibility and traceability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee entire export control function for the French Export Control Department.
- Issue and track authorisations for purchases, sales, repairs, exchanges, loans, transfers, and storage of goods and data.
- Screen offers and review contracts for export compliance; edit policies, procedures, and memoranda.
- Implement import/export controls, archive regulatory records, and audit operational compliance.
- Lead regulatory risk assessment for intangible assets in the support division.
- Coordinate with transnational compliance teams (UK, Germany, EU, US) to ensure harmonised practices.
- Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on export control obligations.
- Maintain relationships with competent authorities and stay informed on regulatory changes.
**Required Skills**
- Minimum 3 years experience in international trade or export control within a multinational setting.
- In‑depth knowledge of French, EU, US, UK, and German military/dual‑use export controls.
- Strong written communication for policy drafting and reporting; fluent in English and French (German an advantage).
- Leadership, stakeholder management, and decisive business judgement.
- High initiative, integrity, confidentiality, and independent decision‑making.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- University degree (Bachelor or higher) in International Trade, Law, Business, or related field.
- Eligibility for a security clearance; willingness to obtain required clearance.
