Global Mobility Tax Specialist
**Role Summary**
Delivers accurate global mobility tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for internationally mobile employees. Coordinates with finance, HR, and client stakeholders to optimize tax outcomes, maintain audit‑ready documentation, and support business and client growth initiatives.
**Expectations**
- File and review tax returns within deadlines for mobile employees in all assignment jurisdictions.
- Advise internal teams and employees on tax planning, withholding, social security, tax treaty, and tax‑equivalent policies.
- Manage financial aspects of engagements (billing, collection, KPI tracking).
- Provide exceptional client service, expanding existing relationships and identifying new revenue opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare, review, and file employee tax returns and related documents for global assignments.
- Advise on tax planning, withholding, social security contributions, and tax‑efficient compensation structures.
- Collaborate with finance and HR on payroll tax calculations and reporting.
- Educate employees on tax responsibilities and implications of international assignments.
- Advise on tax equalization and protection policies, ensuring compliance and employee understanding.
- Analyze compensation data to calculate tax liabilities and identify benefits.
- Draft supporting documentation and applications to optimize employee tax positions.
- Maintain detailed tax records and audit‑ready documentation.
- Stay current on international tax law developments and regulate changes.
- Compile and present tax reports to management, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Conduct country‑specific tax research for operational regions.
- Serve as primary contact for clients with mobile employees, providing service updates and issue resolution.
- Track and report financial metrics, billings, and collections.
- Collaborate with Tax SMEs to deliver integrated solutions across service lines.
- Expand client portfolio through prospecting, relationship nurturing, and market analysis.
**Required Skills**
- In‑depth knowledge of international tax laws, tax treaties, tax equalization, and social security regimes.
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for client and internal interactions.
- Client‑service orientation with proven relationship‑building experience.
- Project management skills including timeline and KPI tracking.
- Proficiency in tax software, spreadsheets, and tax reporting tools.
- Ability to work across cultures and jurisdictions.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- Relevant tax certifications (e.g., CST, GTI, or equivalent local tax designations) desirable.
