**Job Title**
Sr Technical Lead – Testing Services
**Role Summary**
Lead domain-focused software testing operations, designing and executing comprehensive test plans, managing defect lifecycles, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure high-quality releases within the assigned domain.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive testing experience, with a focus on domain expertise (finance, healthcare, e‑commerce, etc.).
- Proven leadership in planning, executing, and reporting testing activities.
- Ability to influence quality standards and testing processes across multiple projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Interpret business requirements and user expectations for the domain and translate them into robust test cases and test strategy.
2. Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scenarios covering functional, integration, performance, security, and API aspects.
3. Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers and product owners to achieve timely resolution.
4. Mentor and supervise test engineers, ensuring adherence to testing best practices and standards.
5. Coordinate with Agile/Scrum teams (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Analyst) to integrate testing activities into sprint cycles.
6. Manage test data preparation and database validation as needed.
7. Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, API testing frameworks, cloud environments).
8. Review test deliverables, reports, and metrics; provide insights for continuous improvement.
9. Engage with DevOps processes to support CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.
**Required Skills**
- Deep knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Domain expertise to understand business processes, regulations, and user expectations.
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Appium, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
- Knowledge of database testing (SQL, DB2, Oracle).
- Experience with performance and security testing tools (JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent are a plus.
