Job title: Senior Platform Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and operation of a global Windows application deployment platform that handles packaging, version control, staged rollouts, monitoring, and secure rollback for thousands of distributed endpoints, across multiple cloud tenants and at scale. Expectations: - Senior, hands‑on ownership of end‑to‑end solution. - Architecture decisions and technical leadership across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. - Deliver zero or near‑zero‑downtime deployments, fast rollbacks, and reliable multitenant visibility. Key Responsibilities: - Design an application‑first deployment model covering packaging, distribution, versioning, and staged releases. - Implement controlled rollouts (staged releases, canary deployments, validation gates) for Windows 10/11 and Server applications. - Engineer zero‑downtime deployment workflows and rapid rollback mechanisms. - Build visibility dashboards that show running version by site, tenant, and location. - Develop monitoring for application health and rollback triggers. - Design configuration, identity, and policy at scale (AD/Group Policy, or redesigned alternatives). - Operate across multiple Azure tenants, with flexibility to integrate AWS or hybrid models. - Support distributed, occasionally disconnected, client environments. - Own the end‑to‑end architecture and oversee implementation from design to deployment.
