Job Title: Head of Operations
Role Summary: Oversee and drive daily operations, standards, and growth across a portfolio of five independent bar and pub sites, managing head office functions, junior operations staff, HR support, and site leadership.
Expectations: Deliver commercial growth and high hospitality standards, lead cross‑site teams, implement best‑practice operations, manage budgets and P&L, support planned expansions, and achieve operational launch by early 2026.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage site operations for five venues, ensuring consistent quality in food, drink, and service. • Lead the head office, junior operations, and HR functions, providing strategic guidance and operational oversight. • Coach, develop, and motivate site managers and staff. • Drive P&L performance, budgeting, and cost controls. • Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements. • Standardise processes and implement operational best practices. • Support new site openings, including site selection, design, staffing, and launch. • Monitor performance metrics, analyse data, and report to senior leadership.
Required Skills: • Proven multi‑site management experience in premium pubs, bars or casual dining. • Strong leadership and people‑first coaching ability. • Commercial acumen with solid P&L management skills. • Deep knowledge of hospitality operations and independent culture. • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities. • Ability to work on-site and handle fast‑paced environments. • Project management and data‑driven decision‑making.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Hospitality management qualification (e.g., Diploma in Hospitality Management) preferable. • Valid UK health & safety or food safety certifications (e.g., HACCP) desirable.
