Azure Specialist - Contract - Inside IR35
Job Description
Job title: Azure Specialist (Contract, Inside IR35) Role Summary: A 3.5‑month contract Azure cloud engineer who sets up and optimizes the Azure environment for consulting delivery teams, ensuring scalable, automated deployments across multiple tenants and global regions. Expectations: Deliver a fully configured, secure, and automated Azure infrastructure that supports Agile delivery practices and socio‑enterprise objectives. Work within the specified duration, communicate progress to stakeholders, and maintain high‑quality documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure tailored to project needs. - Create and manage infrastructure‑as‑code components using ARM templates, Terraform, or similar tools. - Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps. - Configure and troubleshoot multi‑tenant and multi‑region scenarios, ensuring performance and compliance. - Manage access controls, role‑based permissions, and security settings across environments. - Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to integrate cloud solutions into sprint workflows. - Produce and update technical documentation and runbooks. Required Skills: - Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security). - Proficiency in IaC tools (ARM, Terraform, Bicep, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience managing multiple tenants and deploying across several regions. - Strong understanding of access management, RBAC, and Azure Security Center. - Ability to work independently in a contract environment and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams. - Familiarity with Agile development practices is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑303/305, or equivalent. - Demonstrated experience in contract or project‑based cloud engineering roles.
