Job Title: Technical Architect
Role Summary:
Provide technical leadership and architecture for insurance-focused SaaS and on‑prem solutions, primarily Salesforce and .NET ecosystems. Drive design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable services on Azure/AWS within Agile release trains, ensuring alignment with enterprise digital strategy and underwriting/claim processes.
Expactations:
- Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready technical designs that satisfy performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Lead cross‑functional teams (developers, analysts, DevOps, administrators) to timely and on‑budget project delivery.
- Maintain architectural integrity across applications, documenting exceptions and ensuring governance compliance.
- Mentor and coach technical staff, fostering best practices in coding, design, and DevOps.
- Continuously improve delivery pipelines, capacity planning, and monitoring to support evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and technically lead the Salesforce Underwriting Workbench product and related modules.
- Produce secure, scalable, high‑performing service designs and oversee their implementation.
- Guide developers, QA, and SMEs in redesigning legacy systems and integrating new features.
- Partner with DevOps engineers to define CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and gating mechanisms.
- Manage multiple technical initiatives within Agile release cycles, including PI planning and backlog prioritization.
- Define and enforce development standards (data, coding, architecture).
- Build and maintain capacity models, performance metrics, and forecasting for infrastructure and services.
- Handle architecture exception processes and remediation plans.
- Monitor application performance to meet non‑functional requirements and initiate proactive maintenance.
- Publish and maintain technical architecture documentation and roadmaps for product owners.
Required Skills:
- Hands‑on expertise in Salesforce, .NET (VB.NET/C#), Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, WCF, Web API, Azure, and at least one cloud provider (AWS or Azure).
- Proven experience leading or implementing CRM, underwriting, and claim solutions in the insurance domain.
- Strong Agile and DevOps experience, including CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous delivery practices.
- Leadership skills for mentoring developers and architects.
- Ability to translate high‑level designs into detailed technical specifications.
- Excellent prioritization, multi‑tasking, and adaptability to changing strategies and technologies.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in Salesforce (e.g., Administrator, Platform App Builder, Advanced Developer) and Azure/AWS architecture preferred.
