Job Title: Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Role Summary:
Executive-level finance leader for a 6‑month interim assignment at a Series B SaaS startup. Responsible for financial strategy, capital raise, metrics, and cross‑functional alignment to support rapid scale and exit readiness.
Expectations:
- Deliver a successful venture debt raise.
- Strengthen and standardize SaaS financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Drive Revenue Operations (RevOps) integration across Finance, Sales, and GTM functions.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to execute growth initiatives.
- Prepare the company for potential exit or transaction activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the venture debt capital-raising process, including negotiations and due diligence.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models, dashboards, and KPI reporting for ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, etc.
- Design and implement scalable RevOps frameworks, standardizing forecasting, quota setting, and performance metrics.
- Oversee financial close, statutory reporting, and compliance.
- Provide strategic financial guidance on product pricing, cost allocation, and investment decisions.
- Prepare the firm for investor presentations, audits, and potential M&A transaction readiness.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, ensuring alignment with growth objectives.
Required Skills:
- Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in SaaS businesses.
- Track record of successfully raising venture debt in venture‑backed companies.
- Deep knowledge of SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV) and financial reporting.
- Experience building and scaling RevOps and commercial finance functions.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
- High level of financial discipline, transparency, and strategic thinking.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (minimum).
- CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or similar professional qualification preferred.
- MBA or equivalent advanced business education advantageous.
