Job Description

**Job title:** Junior Business Analyst **Role Summary:** Assist in an IT transformation project for a public sector rail and transportation provider. The role focuses on data collection, analysis, process mapping, and supporting the delivery of project activities and process improvements. **Expectations:** * Work onsite three days a week during the project term. * Support senior analysts and project managers in preparation, data handling, and documentation tasks. * Participate actively in workshops, interviews, and process improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collect, document, process, and validate data under routine supervision. - Assist in data preparation, cleansing, and analysis activities. - Contribute to process mapping exercises and identify improvement opportunities. - Coordinate and support workshop and interview preparation; source information. - Log and monitor actions, decisions, and project progress. - Generate process documentation, standard reports, and insights using established tools and methods. - Aid implementation of minor process changes and improvements. **Required Skills:** - Knowledge of standard business analysis methodologies and techniques. - Experience supporting project managers and senior analysts in data collection and cleansing. - Familiarity with rail, transport, or related organizational structures. - Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., PMI‑ACP, CBAP, or equivalent) are a plus but not mandatory.
