Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Protection Paralegal **Role Summary:** Provide legal support for a Global Data Privacy team in a fast‑paced FMCG organization. Focus on GDPR compliance, contract review, data subject requests, privacy impact assessments, and policy development. **Expectations:** - Deliver timely, accurate legal work on data protection matters. - Act as a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners. - Demonstrate proactive problem solving and strong attention to detail. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review, draft, and negotiate data protection clauses within contracts and agreements. - Assist with data subject access and other privacy requests. - Support the planning and execution of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs). - Maintain and update privacy policies, procedures, and guidance documents. - Communicate findings and recommendations to business units and senior management. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience (in‑house or private practice) in data protection/privacy law. - In‑depth knowledge of GDPR and related data protection frameworks. - Strong legal drafting and contract negotiation abilities. - Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. - Experience in FMCG, retail, or technology sectors is advantageous. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Undergraduate degree in Law, Legal Practice, or related discipline. - Current admission to the legal profession or equivalent – e.g., Qualified Paralegal (CP) or similar certification.
