**Job Title:** Senior Security Engineer – Proofpoint DLP
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of the Proofpoint Information Protection platform within a large enterprise. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for DLP, creating advanced policies, responding to incidents, and guiding best practices across security, compliance, and privacy functions.
**Expectations:**
- Own the Proofpoint DLP stack, ensuring its effective operation at enterprise scale.
- Deliver high‑visibility DLP strategy, policy frameworks, and operational playbooks.
- Reduce false positives, improve detection accuracy, and maintain alignment with regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced DLP policies, detection logic, and workflow automations.
- Lead deployment and configuration of Proofpoint modules (EDM, IDM, OCR, regex, fingerprinting).
- Investigate, triage, and analyze data‑security incidents, authoring root‑cause reports and remediation plans.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, incident response playbooks, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with Security Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Privacy teams during investigations.
- Provide technical leadership on DLP strategy and best practices throughout the organization.
**Required Skills:**
- Hands‑on experience with Proofpoint DLP platforms and modules (EDM, IDM, OCR).
- Deep knowledge of DLP methodologies, content inspection, regex, fingerprinting, and data classification.
- Proven background in incident response, investigation, and remediation.
- Experience managing security platforms in large enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or equivalent.
- Professional certifications such as Proofpoint Certified Expert, CISSP, CRISC, or related credentials preferred.
