Senior Security Engineer – Proofpoint DLP

North Quincy, MA

$110,000 – $140,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

Supporting a Global Financial Services Client

Full-Time W2 role

We’re looking for a Senior Security Engineer with deep Proofpoint expertise to take ownership of a critical Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform within a large enterprise security environment.

This role sits at the heart of the organisation’s data protection and incident response capability, where you’ll act as the Proofpoint Subject Matter Expert, designing, deploying, and optimising advanced DLP policies that protect sensitive information across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Acting as the SME for the Proofpoint Information Protection platform
Designing and implementing advanced DLP policies and detection logic
Leading deployment and configuration of Proofpoint capabilities including EDM, IDM, OCR and policy frameworks
Investigating and responding to data security incidents, performing triage and root cause analysis
Developing SOPs, operational workflows, and incident response playbooks
Tuning and optimising the platform to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy
Partnering with Security Operations, Compliance, Legal and Privacy teams during investigations
Providing technical leadership and guidance across the organisation on DLP strategy and best practices

What We’re Looking For

Strong hands-on experience with Proofpoint DLP platforms
Deep understanding of Data Loss Prevention methodologies and content inspection techniques
Experience with EDM, IDM, regex, fingerprinting, and data classification
Background in incident response, investigation, and remediation
Experience operating security platforms within large enterprise environments
Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
