Job Specifications

An established IT services and consulting firm is seeking a senior DevOps engineer to lead the design, automation, and delivery of critical infrastructure projects. This role is geared toward engineers who have previously owned full lifecycle implementations across cloud platforms and want to bring both technical depth and strategic oversight to client-facing engagements. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping cloud-native architectures that directly support large-scale enterprise transformations.

In this hybrid position based in Halifax, you'll architect and optimize multi-cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, or GCP), modernize deployment pipelines, and establish scalable infrastructure with containers and Infrastructure-as-Code. Beyond hands-on engineering, you'll collaborate closely with client stakeholders and internal leadership to define best practices, mentor peers, and ensure that every solution is robust, secure, and future-proof.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven track record of end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure projects in IT services or consulting environments
Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP) with cross-platform familiarity
Senior-level experience with CI/CD pipeline design, container orchestration, and automation at scale

Desired Skills & Experience

Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
Strong ability to influence stakeholders and present technical strategies in client-facing settings
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a history of mentoring or guiding engineering teams

Daily Responsibilities

Hands-On Engineering & Architecture: 65%
Leadership, Client Collaboration & Strategic Oversight: 35%
