About the Role
We are actively seeking a BMC Software Developer for a remote C2C contract role supporting the design, development, and enhancement of the BMC Helix platform. You'll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team helping enterprise telecom clients implement scalable and maintainable service management solutions.
This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in BMC Helix development (both SaaS and on-premise), including integration, custom workflows, environment management, and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain solutions on BMC Helix 9.x and later.
Customize BMC Helix AR applications, including ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, SRM, SLM, CMDB).
Work with SSO, RSSO, and LDAP plugins for secure access and authentication.
Manage and troubleshoot Helix Development, QA, and Production environments.
Build and update BMC Remedy workflows (Active Links, Filters, Escalations).
Translate process requirements into detailed implementations within the Helix suite.
Develop and manage integrations via REST APIs, SOAP, web services, and Atrium Integrator.
Perform Helix application upgrades in containerized environments.
Set up disaster recovery for BMC Helix on-premise deployments.
Support data modeling and configuration within the CMDB and Asset Management modules.
Develop applications using Innovation Studio and Business Workflows.
Provide technical support across production, test, and development instances.
Required Skillset
Deep understanding of BMC Helix ITSM, ARS, and associated modules.
Proven experience in Helix upgrades, customization, and performance tuning.
Experience in integrating BMC with third-party systems using APIs.
Proficiency with Java, RESTful API, SOAP, and UNIX fundamentals.
Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL.
Strong documentation and lifecycle methodology experience.

Certifications (Preferred)
BMC Certified Developer (Helix ITSM/ARS)
BMC CMDB Administrator
ITIL v4 Foundation or Practitioner
Experience
Demonstrated success in BMC Remedy/Helix development roles.
Strong background in telecom or enterprise ITSM environments.
Experience with both SaaS and on-premise Helix deployments.
