IT Security Analyst - Remote Access & VPN

Location Address: Scarborough- 2 days in office

Contract Duration: 6 months with high Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE

Business group: Cybersecurity Operations - provisioning resources with remote access management within the bank globally.

Project: The candidate will support the modernization of the VPN infrastructure, which is being transitioned to Microsoft Azure and Entra ID. This includes evaluating Entra ID as a replacement for Entrust certificates in identity and access management.

Responsibilities:

* Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

* Follow established processes

* Provisioning, 2nd-line support of MFA Hard and Soft tokens, VPN PKI certificates and One-Time/Multi-Time Verification Codes, as requested/approved by GIAM Manager

* Process urgent terminations as directed by intake team or management team

* Utilize troubleshooting skills to understand systems' issues and the potential root causes

* Utilize organizational knowledge to understand the teams and interactions involved in relevant systems/processes

* Demonstrate personal accountability for assigned initiatives and daily processes

* Demonstrate effective communication skills, and present improvement ideas up to Director level

* Coordinate with 1st & 3rd level support when applicable and provide resolution recommendations to management

Must Have Skills:

* 8-10 years of working experience as an IT Security Analyst

* Strong knowledge of VPN concepts and platforms

* 5 years of working experience in MS Office, especially excel.

* 1-3 years of experience in PKI certificate distribution

* 3-5 years of experience with ENTRA

Nice-To-Have Skills:

* Knowledge of Python scripting is an asset.

* Intermediate knowledge of network technology/topology

* CISSP is an asset.

Best VS. Average Candidate:

A top candidate will stand out by holding a CISSP certification, having hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra, and demonstrating proficiency in Azure Fundamentals and other cloud-related courses. Familiarity with Excel and ServiceNow further strengthens their profile compared to an average applicant.
