Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Venture Capital

Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 4-5 days onsite)

Compensation: $150,000 - $300,000 base + benefits

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

An emerging early-stage venture capital fund is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee daily operations and ensure strategic alignment across investing, LP relations, finance, and general operations. The COO will bring structure to a fast-paced environment, working closely with leadership to support growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and streamline fund operations across all business areas
Manage investment processes including capital calls, documentation, and disbursements
Coordinate communication between investment, LP relations, finance, and operations teams
Support strategic initiatives and daily needs of the leadership team
Build and manage internal teams and resources

Qualifications

2-8 years of experience in operations and/or project management
Background in finance, legal, investor relations, or related areas
Strong organizational and communication skills
Venture capital, private equity, or startup experience preferred
