Location: London, Canada Square, Canary Wharf - Hybrid - 3 Days P/Week Onsite

Duration: 6 Months - Potential for Extension of up to 12 months.

Role :

As a Mongo DBA engineer you will be responsible for:

Owning and maintaining our On-Prem and Cloud (GCP) Mongo database infrastructure - ensuring the performance, security, stability and availability of the database for business.
Capacity management, security patching, monitoring & observability, database backup & recovery and performance improvements of the database are key elements of this role.
You will be accountable to ensure that the database complies with the Bank's IT policies.
You will closely collaborate with the applications teams to troubleshoot issues related to database, underlying hardware and software.

Experience:

Mongo 6 and above.
In depth knowledge on Operations Manager.
In depth understanding of Mongo database architecture such clustering, sharding, indexing, driver usage and server administration.
Mongo Database Deployment on GCP.
Performance optimisation, troubleshooting and fine-tuning of Mongo Database.
Mongo Database upgrades and Security patching.
Database Backup & recovery process.
Engagement with the Mongo DB Vendor.
Linux OS understanding and shell scripting.
Provide MongoDB consultancy to the application development team members.

Qualifications:

In this role you must have significant experience as a Mongo DBA engineer and proven experience of owning and running a large sized MongoDB estate.
