Job Specifications

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our growing IT team. This role is an integral part of the Networking Team, focused on designing, maintaining, and supporting Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Wireless LAN (WLAN) networks for both voice and data applications.

What You'll Do

Monitor, administer, and troubleshoot data network systems.
Install and configure network equipment to resolve hardware and software issues.
Communicate network-related issues to colleagues and leadership.
Implement, maintain, and monitor Information Security standards for network infrastructure.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support.
Collaborate with vendors and telecommunications service providers.
Track and document work performed on tickets, projects, and network changes.
Assist in creating technology roadmaps and rationalizing solutions for long-term success.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Associate degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).

Experience:

At least 3-5 years as a Network Administrator.

Preferred Certifications:

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
CCNP Switch 350-401
ITIL Foundations (IT Service Management)
PCNSE (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer)
Juniper certifications

Preferred Experience:

Working with Palo Alto, Cisco, or Juniper Mist technologies.
Network technical documentation and topology design.
Supporting LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VOIP environments.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Change management processes.
Windows Network OS administration.
Using network monitoring and management tools.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of Microsoft network operating systems, DNS, and DHCP.
Familiarity with VOIP, switches, router configuration (MPLS, BGP, VLAN).
Knowledge of firewalls, IPS technologies, VPNs, and network security practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

Light physical work, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, and occasional carrying.
Vision, speech, and hearing sufficient for data analysis and communication.
Occasional travel to supported facilities or offsite meetings.
Rotational on-call support outside normal business hours.
Standard office environment with occasional work in or around emergency response vehicles.
