IAM Engineer - Consumer Identity (CIAM)
Location: Abbott Park, IL
Duration: 6 Months + Possible Extension/ FTE
Job Description:
We are seeking a IAM Engineer - Consumer Identity (CIAM) to validate controls and governance supporting Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platforms. This role partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate identity configurations, ensure governance standards, and enable secure delivery of digital identity services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess CIAM controls including IdP configuration, federation protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth), and authentication/authorization models (RBAC, ABAC, PBAC).
Evaluate password, MFA, adaptive authentication, API security, token management, and user lifecycle automation.
Review self-service, account recovery, and monitoring/SIEM integration for identity events.
Validate CIAM governance frameworks, access reviews, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
Ensure consent management, data governance, vendor oversight, and effective reporting/metrics.
About You:
5+ years in identity architecture, access management, cybersecurity, or technology audit with CIAM focus.
Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, and lifecycle management (NIST 800-63B, WebAuthn, Passkeys).
Experience with regulatory frameworks and governance reporting.
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred: Certifications (CISSP, CISA, CIAM, or equivalent).
