About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, HRIS to lead our global HR technology strategy and oversee the design, delivery, and optimization of our Workday ecosystem. This leader will be responsible for driving end-to-end HR systems initiatives across Talent, Learning, Performance, Compensation, Core HCM, and HR Service Delivery while ensuring seamless integration with enterprise platforms, including Salesforce.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking HR technology leader who combines deep Workday expertise with strong stakeholder leadership, vendor management, and a passion for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance employee experience, productivity, and organizational agility.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the global HR technology strategy, with Workday as the core platform.
Partner with CHRO, HR COEs, and IT leaders to align HRIS roadmap with enterprise digital transformation objectives.
Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, automation) within HR platforms to enhance employee experience.
Workday & HR Systems Management
Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday modules: HCM, Talent, Performance, Learning, Compensation, and Recruiting.
Oversee system governance, security, compliance (SOX, GDPR), and data integrity across the Workday ecosystem.
Manage integrations between Workday and Salesforce, payroll, benefits, and other enterprise platforms.
Delivery & Operations
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing HRIS team (product owners, analysts, developers, and reporting specialists).
Establish agile delivery practices, release management, and change control frameworks to accelerate deployments.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization across global HR processes while supporting localized needs.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with Workday and other HR technology vendors, including contract negotiation and SOWs.
Lead RFP and vendor selection processes for new HR technology solutions.
Serve as the senior liaison between HR, IT, Finance, and business leadership for all HRIS initiatives.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in HR technology, including at least 5 years managing Workday at an enterprise scale.
Proven leadership experience managing global HRIS teams and large-scale HR system transformations.
Hands-on experience with multiple Workday modules (HCM, Talent, Performance, Learning, Comp, Recruiting).
Exposure to other HR systems such as SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, or PeopleSoft.
Experience managing integrations with Salesforce or other enterprise platforms.
Knowledge of AI/ML applications in HR, including automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent talent tools.
Strong project and portfolio management experience (Agile, SAFe or similar).
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).
