Job Title: Lead Global Security Engineer

Location: Roseland, NJ

Duration: 12-18 Months+ (Contract 2 Hire)

Work Type: Onsite - 5 Days a Week

Work Authorization: US Citizens, Green Card Holders only (No Visa sponsorship available), W2 only

About The Role

We are seeking a Lead Global Security Engineer with deep expertise in engineering modern, large-scale corporate networks and a strong command of security principles. This role focuses on deploying and managing Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platforms to protect sensitive data across hybrid and cloud environments.

You will be responsible for engineering and governing network security platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Prisma Access, Cato, Netskope, Fortinet), solving shadow IT challenges, and driving data protection strategies. As part of a skilled Global Security team, you will ensure secure network access, enforce policies, and design scalable architectures that protect CLIENT's global network from emerging cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Design

Assess current SASE platform state and develop risk-reduction improvements.
Design and engineer next-generation network security capabilities, including Secure Web Gateway, Next-Gen Firewall, CASB, and DLP controls.
Develop prevention/detection strategies and detailed solution designs.
Define and monitor metrics to track compliance with Global Security Network standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with Network & Cloud Engineering, Product Managers, Privacy, and InfoSec teams to implement security controls.
Mentor and provide guidance to team members, driving high performance.
Communicate security risks and solutions to stakeholders, from engineers to executives.

Operations & Compliance

Audit compliance, evaluate control effectiveness, and improve orchestration/automation.
Monitor associate web access activity, enforce filtering policies, and prevent phishing or malware attacks.
Drive remediation of data controls to meet audit and privacy requirements.

Incident Response & Continuous Improvement

Support rapid incident response with automated processes.
Research and implement emerging network security technologies.
Continuously refine policies, controls, and detection capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: 6+ years of relevant technical security experience, including 8+ years in cybersecurity roles (planning, implementing, and managing security capabilities).
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access, Palo SASE, Panorama Firewalls, and NAC/SD-WAN.
Strong knowledge of DLP, UDP technologies, zero-trust security models, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, O365, GCP).
Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for systems automation.
Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CISA, CISM, or CRISC preferred.
