Job SummaryThe Test Automation Consultant will contribute to the overall success of the Commerce Engineering team by designing and executing robust automation solutions for high-visibility digital banking platforms. This role will focus on test coverage for the Instant Banking Access initiative, enhancing onboarding flows for new and existing customers across web and mobile applications. The candidate will play a key role in continuous testing, cross-functional collaboration, and defect resolution within an Agile environment.Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain test automation frameworks and reusable scripts.
Test complex features across web and mobile applications.
Conduct API testing and ensure seamless end-to-end integrations.
Partner with developers, delivery leads, and product managers to define test strategies.
Identify and report defects, performing root cause analysis.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning.
Enforce quality standards and act as a QA advocate across all project phases.
Lead or support process improvement initiatives in test automation and quality assurance.
Required Experience
5+ years of hands-on test automation experience in Agile environments.
5+ years working with Java or JavaScript for automation scripting.
5+ years using automation tools like Selenium WebDriver or WebDriverIO.
2+ years of recent experience with API testing.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Prior experience in financial institutions (FI) or large enterprise environments.
Proficiency in Cucumber or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks.
Required Skills
Strong scripting and debugging skills in Java/JavaScript.
Experience building modular and extensible automation frameworks.
Proven expertise in test execution, defect management, and CI/CD environments.
Familiarity with industry QA tools and platforms (e.g., JIRA, Jenkins, Git).
Preferred Skills
Ability to conduct technical interviews or contribute to candidate evaluations.
Knowledge of DevOps workflows and cloud-based testing platforms.
Additional Skills
