Senior eCommerce Specialist (Shopify Focus) - Contract
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Ongoing Contract (25-40 hours per week) - Potential for Conversion to Permanent Role
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior eCommerce Specialist with a deep specialization in the Shopify platform to manage and optimize our online presence. This role is crucial for driving our B2B eCommerce strategy and ensuring a seamless, high-performing website experience. The ideal candidate is an independent, proactive individual based in the Atlanta area who can handle the day-to-day management of our Shopify store, including content updates, template management, and integration with key marketing technologies like HubSpot.
Responsibilities
Shopify & Website Management (Primary Focus):
Serve as the primary administrator and expert for our Shopify eCommerce store.
Perform routine and urgent website updates, including product listings, collection pages, blog content, and promotional banners.
Manage and update Shopify themes and templates (Liquid/HTML/CSS proficiency preferred) to implement design changes, improve user experience, and ensure brand consistency.
Ensure website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall site health are maintained to the highest standards.
Manage third-party applications and integrations within the Shopify ecosystem.
Oversee the implementation of A/B tests and site personalization initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify store, integrations, and user experience promptly.
B2B eCommerce Strategy & Operations:
Support the implementation and maintenance of B2B-specific functionalities (e.g., customer portals, tiered pricing, wholesale ordering forms) within the Shopify platform.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure the website effectively supports B2B customer journeys and lead generation goals.
HubSpot Integration & Marketing Collaboration:
Manage the technical integration and synchronization between Shopify and HubSpot (CRM, Marketing Hub).
Ensure accurate tracking of customer data, order information, and marketing attribution between the two platforms.
Work with the marketing team to implement tracking codes, pop-ups, and other lead-capture mechanisms managed through HubSpot on the Shopify site.
General Duties:
Monitor website analytics (Google Analytics, Shopify reporting) to identify areas for improvement and track performance metrics.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of website processes, configurations, and updates.
Stay current with Shopify platform updates, new features, and eCommerce best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of direct, hands-on experience managing and operating a high-volume eCommerce store on the Shopify Plus (preferred) or Shopify platform.
Proven ability to manage templates, layouts, and pages within the Shopify admin and theme code editor.
Strong understanding of B2B eCommerce principles and experience implementing B2B features on an eCommerce platform.
Proficiency in HubSpot (CRM and/or Marketing Hub) and experience managing the technical integration between HubSpot and Shopify.
Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for front-end troubleshooting and minor modifications. Liquid knowledge is a significant plus.
Experience with SEO best practices and implementing them on a Shopify site.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be located in the Atlanta, GA area.
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: 25-40 hours per week (Flexible within business hours, as agreed upon).
Contract Duration: Ongoing.
Conversion: This role offers the potential to convert to a full-time, permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Compensation: Competitive hourly contract rate (commensurate with experience).
