Job Title: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (F&SCM) Finance Solution Architect
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: Long Term Contract
Position Overview
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Finance Solution Architect is responsible for delivering high-quality finance solutions that meet customer requirements and ensure project success. This role spans functional leadership, solution design, integration oversight, and collaboration with project/program managers and senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at communicating across all organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end finance solution design and architecture, ensuring smooth transition from current to target landscapes.
Facilitate and document customer workshops for finance, integrations, and data migration; own functional solution design and gold-build configuration.
Collaborate with interface/integration leads and data migration leads to design and deliver robust solutions.
Provide functional leadership across finance streams, ensuring adherence to proven methodologies and best practices.
Oversee solution, business, and infrastructure architecture in partnership with internal and customer teams.
Prepare and maintain solution architecture documentation, functional specs, and status reports.
Support testing, training, and pre-sales activities, including demos, estimates, and tender responses.
Mentor junior team members and advocate for continuous improvement.
Stay current with D365 F&SCM and related Microsoft/Azure technologies.
Skills & Experience
Deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 F&O, with at least 5 full life-cycle implementations as a finance functional lead or solution architect.
Strong knowledge of finance operations: WIP, revenue recognition, WBS, and related project accounting processes.
Proficient with Microsoft DevOps, LCS, and the broader Microsoft platform.
Skilled in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills; able to manage multiple large projects (6-24 months).
Comfortable engaging at all organizational levels, balancing short-term demands with long-term vision.
Qualifications
MBA, M.Com, B.Com, B.Tech, B.E, or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
Microsoft certifications: MB-310 and MB-700 preferred.
Ability to work remotely and travel to client sites as required.
