C++ Developer - Permanent - Hybrid - Central London

Opportunity: Permanent position
Salary: Up to PS125,000 per annum (DOE)
Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite (Non-negotiable)

About the Role

A global trading organisation is looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join their team and be responsible for the design, development, and support of systems and services for their next trading platform.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business analysts and architects to review and understand complex business and technical requirements.
Create high quality documentation including detailed technical, functional and unit test specifications.
Design, develop, debug, implement, test and maintain software solutions, applications and services.
Perform thorough unit testing of developed software.
Contribute to effective and efficient 3rd line application support for production systems including the provision of permanent remediation.
Perform and participate in peer reviews of solution designs and associated code, aiming for enhanced quality to deliver efficient, flexible, robust and maintainable solutions.

Essential Requirements

A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
Comprehensive knowledge of designing and building server-side C++ applications, ideally on RedHat 7 or later.
Proven experience of developing large scale mission critical, low latency or fault tolerant systems.
Experience of software development methodologies and working in a structured environment.
Knowledge of financial services, derivatives or trading in an exchange, sell-side or front office environment would be highly beneficial.
Experience of developing low-level, high performance systems.
Familiarity with Service Orientated Architecture, concurrency models and threading, multicast messaging or FIX message protocols would be advantageous.

Key Skills: C++, Red Hat Linux (ideally V7 or later), Low Latency/High Performance trading applications/platforms.
