Job Overview

Management support to the Operation Manager in all aspects of business and service management, quality and performance standards of the Divisional team at the eLGH site. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and responsible for their workload, they will provide advice and guidance to ensure the division provides effective planning, capital investment, performance development and project management. To provide a comprehensive range of administrative and operational support to members of the Operational management team. Promote best practice in relation to the management of personnel, finance, procurement, performance and governance. To support the Service Lead, Professional Nursing team and ward managers in delivering the ward process improvement agenda within Medicine to include delivery of SAFER Patient Bundle and Dynamic Discharge Planning. To lead the 10 day LOS review on the eLGH sites working with the multidisciplinary team to promote safe and timely discharge of patients and reduce length of stay. To deputise for the Service Lead at site, divisional and HB level. To supervise and manage the medical staffing team , overseeing all aspects of medical staffing to include rota management, recruitment and absence management.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a source of project management and quality improvement expertise, providing advice to clinical and managerial leads. They will support the key working groups across the hospital and wider, sharing their specialist knowledge with teams and ensuring that there is join up and collaboration between the teams where appropriate. As key team players, the post holders will be flexible, and able to adapt their approach to ensure that projects remain on track, whilst supporting others to do the same.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply

Qualifications

Essential criteria

Masters level education or equivalent experience
Must demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning and continuous development

Experience

Essential criteria

Extensive senior management experience in the NHS
Experience in project management, modernisation or remodelling of servcies
Indepth knowledge of personnel procedures and policies
Experience of change management, managing resources well and ensuring services are delivered

Desirable criteria

Experience of management of medical staffing
