Job Purpose

Our client is looking for a Senior IT Internal Auditor to be part of our corporate Internal Audit team. This position will be responsible for developing, leading, and performing Information Technology (IT) audits and perform compliance controls testing. This position must be able to manage and conduct audits of general business and information technology functions in supporting the execution of the annual audit plan.

Required Skills

2+ years of experience in IT audit function or experienced IT professional.
Understanding of IT control processes including information security, access controls, change management and IT operations, among others.
Proficient in excel

Plusses:

SOX IT Audit experience
CISA or similar certification
Familiarity with regulatory auditing standards such as FFIEC IT examination handbooks
Programming, CAAT and database management skills

The role involves conducting audits of business processes and IT controls to ensure operational, financial, and compliance integrity. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining audit plans, performing control testing, and documenting results. The position requires evaluating IT control design and effectiveness, leading all phases of IT audits, and providing actionable recommendations to management. The role also involves coordinating internal and external audit documentation, communicating IT risks to non-technical stakeholders, and supporting special projects as needed. Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills are essential.
