Job Specifications

Role: SDET Level 1

Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85255 (Onsite: Monday - Thursday)

Contract Duration: 1 Year

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Level 1 with 2-4 years of experience in QA and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend automation, API testing, and database validation, with hands-on experience in scripting/programming and test frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for backend services and APIs.
Perform SQL database testing and validate complex queries.
Execute API testing across microservices-based applications.
Work with JSON/XML, web services, and JMS for validation and integration testing.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure quality at every stage of SDLC.
Participate in test planning, design, execution, and reporting.
Manage code repositories using Bitbucket and Git.
Support testing activities in Linux/Unix environments.
Identify, analyze, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

2-4 years of QA/SDET experience.
Strong experience with SQL databases and query validation.
Hands-on experience with backend automation and API testing.
Exposure to microservices architecture.
Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (preferably Java).
Strong understanding of SDLC, release processes, and testing methodologies.
Familiarity with test data management, dependencies, and test environments.
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).
Basic experience in Linux/Unix commands.
Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
