Job Description

The OIPA Developer / Configurator will work with business and technical teams to gather requirements, implement new functionality, and maintain the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) system. The role involves designing, configuring, and optimizing OIPA applications while ensuring best practices and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Work with business and technical teams to gather and translate technical requirements.

Analyze specifications for complex business requirements (new, enhancements, maintenance).

Design and prepare technical solutions and documentation.

Review and interpret architectural and technical design documents to develop OIPA transactions and processes using best practice configuration techniques.

Monitor, analyze, and configure OIPA application components (WebLogic, Web/App, Database, Linux).

Design logical queries to facilitate calculations, reporting, and complex formulas.

Perform functional gap analysis, review design documentation, and participate in design reviews.

Research and correct defects, ensuring timely resolution.

Identify and implement standardization opportunities across teams and systems.

Lead configurators during certain project and production support phases.

Conduct code reviews and develop technical design documents.

Support complex deployments and migrations.

Work closely with internal OIPA configuration teams and Oracle Development teams to manage issues, requests, and incidents.

Ensure project artifacts (estimates, work completed, work remaining, task status, etc.) are updated daily for program management visibility.

Required Skills & Expertise

Strong understanding of OIPA database schema and relational objects.

Experience with REST services and integration solutions.

Expertise in entity-based logical modeling and data throughput optimization.

XSLT and OIPA configuration expertise.

Hands-on experience in Informatica and Java.

Knowledge of WebLogic, Linux, and performance monitoring.

Ability to proactively assess short/long-term design implications for efficient OIPA ecosystem operations.
