Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Data Center Engineer for an enterprise Financial Client.

Primary responsibility is designing and implementing and support of all physical hardware into our data centers for business.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Job Title: Data Center Engineer

Location: O'Fallon, MO (On-Site)

Duration: 12 Months Contract (With possibility of extension and conversion)

Role

* Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth

* Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally

* Installation and support of enterprise class IT hardware in a production data center environment

* Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment

* Manage and implement network projects, overseeing the installation and support of network communications

* Understand and incorporate new server, network, and storage products into the Operations environment

All About You

* Intermediate IT Experience, including being involved in IT projects on a full time basis

* Networking, including LAN/WAN, wireless and Security technologies

* TCP/IP protocol communications

* Knowledge of Cisco's product portfolio

* Understanding and utilization of high level Project Management methodologies and best practices

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Self-starter with good listening and interpersonal skills

* Extremely detail oriented for all responsibilities

* Displays work behaviors of high integrity and honesty

* Able to take direction and follow established processes and procedures
