Department Overview

The Wholesale Data & Operations Technology team in India is an integral part of the global team spread across all regions. The team is responsible to build and enhance Data Distribution Platform. This is a global team geographically across regions. We provide a 24/5 operational coverage to all regions across the globe.

Role Overview:

This is an Individual Contributor position. We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our Wholesale Data and Operations Technology team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our enterprise data lake platform.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable, high-throughput data processing systems capable of managing the data lake platform
Collaborate closely across various business lines to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Develop and maintain microservices that power our data ingestion and distribution platform.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
Deliver high quality code within the committed deadlines, adhere to the best coding practices reducing technical debt
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, with a focus on performance optimization
Work within an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Collaborate with global team members across different time zones to ensure 24/7 system reliability
Communicate effectively across technology and non-technology stakeholders to drive solutions
Learn and adopt evolving technology solutions to continue to deliver business value



Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

Experience: Experienced Java Software Engineer with several years' previous experience

Primary Skills:

Strong experience in developing enterprise-grade highly scalable and fault tolerant distributed services
Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Micro service Architecture, REST
Microsoft SQL server, Sybase
GitLab or GitStash, gitflow
Jenkins, Ansible, CI/CD





Desirable Skills:

KDB
Python
AWS
Fixed Income Products
