About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Rillet's AI-driven workflows, working directly with the CTO, product managers, designers, and finance experts. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, integrate, and optimize machine learning models that enhance our accounting software's capabilities. This position offers a remote-first environment with opportunities for travel to team events. You will play a crucial role in defining the strategic direction of our ML and AI initiatives, ensuring that our solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with user needs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment, bringing practical solutions to complex problems while contributing to a collaborative team culture focused on innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience in product-driven technology companies
Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as numpy, pandas, sklearn, and pytorch
Experience with Large Language Model (LLM)-based agent frameworks
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (required)
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Artificial Intelligence or related discipline (preferred)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within small, agile teams
Proven track record of developing practical, user-focused ML solutions
Passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing
Responsibilities
Define and shape Rillet's long-term ML and AI strategy to support product growth and innovation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, designers, and finance specialists to identify and solve user problems using ML solutions
Deeply understand customer needs and translate them into effective machine learning methodologies
Develop and maintain automated pipelines for training, testing, and evaluating ML models
Integrate ML/AI models into production systems, ensuring high scalability, performance, and reliability
Continuously monitor and optimize model performance post-deployment
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and ML, applying relevant innovations to enhance product capabilities
