Job Specifications
Our client, a global law firm, is seeking an IT Procurement Manager who will report directly to the Chief Information Officer. This individual will research vendors, analyze costs, negotiate contracts, and ensure policy compliance while supporting technology infrastructure across all offices.
Schedule: Hybrid 3/2
Salary: $150k-$175k
Available in the following locations: Washington, D.C., or New York
Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on cost, quality, and reliability for IT hardware, software, and related services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology suppliers and service providers.
Oversee the onboarding and performance improvement of vendors.
Collaborate with the Vendor Management Office (VMO) and IT leadership to negotiate with suppliers for the best terms, pricing, and service levels.
Work closely with the VMO and the firm's contract review attorneys to review and amend contracts.
Manage contract renewals and renegotiations to maximize value.
Stay on top of market trends and pricing to find cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor spending patterns to ensure they remain within approved budgets.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance in terms of delivery times, product quality, and service levels to ensure optimal results.
Hold regular business reviews with key vendors.
Manage procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor compliance documents, to ensure accurate and timely processing.
Make sure all procurement activities and decisions are accurately documented.
Encourage adherence to firm procurement policies and best practices.
Create and maintain lease schedule inventory reports, including received vs. outstanding equipment and lease schedule summaries.
Oversee one-time software licenses and reconcile leasing invoices.
Send leasing invoices to Accounts Payable for processing and payment.
Handle end-of-lease returns and capital asset lifecycle workflows, including reporting.
Use ServiceNow ticketing to process and track new purchases and inventory.
Process invoices, including following up with vendors and coordinating with the Accounts Payable department.
Collaborate with Finance & Accounting on audit reporting as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT procurement, technology sourcing, or vendor management.
Experience in professional services or the legal industry is preferred.
Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, evaluate risks, and make data-driven decisions.
Experience negotiating favorable terms and cost savings with vendors.
Thorough knowledge of IT hardware, software, cloud services, and industry trends to support informed purchasing decisions.
Experience with procurement systems, data analytics tools, and advanced Excel skills is necessary for managing and visualizing procurement data.
