About the Role

Our client is seeking a freelance accountant to join their growing team in Gent. You will work

closely with the Financial Director, external auditors, and tax experts to support 10+ familyowned business groups across multiple industries. This role is not just about numbers we're

looking for someone warm, communicative, and solution-oriented, who enjoys building

strong working relationships while delivering high-quality financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of family-owned companies.

* Work with both financial and commercial data to ensure full-picture reporting.

* Collaborate with the Financial Director to discuss insights, improvements, and

achieved goals.

* Support with statutory declarations, consolidations, and consolidated reports (halfyear and year-end).

* Assist and communicate with external auditors and tax advisors.

* Continuously improve financial reporting tools, internal processes, and financial

accuracy.

* Be a trusted consultant for clients - providing financial insights and finding solutions to

challenges.

Requirements

* Proficient with: Excel (advanced - model building, accuracy essential), Silverfin,

Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Exact Accounting

* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement

* Fluent in English and Dutch

* Interested in long-term collaboration and professional development.

* Sector experience across tech, construction, rental, machinery, and transport is a

bonus.
