Senior Software Engineer (Python / AWS) - 12+ month contract (potential to extend/convert)

Optomi, in partnership with one of the largest entertainment companies in the world, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Python and AWS technologies. You will help build and maintain a platform that enables developers to view and manage authentication and authorization. As part of the Production Platform Engineering group, you will contribute to transforming developer experiences by building self-service tools and backend customizations that support developers across multiple high-profile media services. Experience of the right candidate:

5+ years of experience in backend Python web development (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.)
3+ years of experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar cloud/infrastructure tools
Experience with GraphQL, and working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
Exposure to front-end development in React is preferred

Technical Environment: Python, Django, GraphQL, ReactJS, MySQL, Postgres, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS

We will be putting a high emphasis on:

Creating backend customizations to benefit downstream developers
Building end-to-end tooling for identity and access management
Maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems
Collaborating with DevOps and developer platform teams
