LeverageTek is actively seeking a AEM Developer for a 3 month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
Ottawa (Hybrid one morning a week)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver functional, responsive website templates, components, and dynamic forms using AEM (Sites & Forms) and related technologies.
Implement both AEM OOTB (HTL) and SPA components (React.js) in support of scalable and maintainable digital applications.
Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional and accessible digital experiences.
Build and maintain AEM Headless integrations using JSON/XML and RESTful APIs.
Ensure WCAG compliance across web components and templates.
Utilize Agile tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub to manage development lifecycle, track tasks, and perform version control.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs identified during QA and production support.
Maintain coding standards, document solutions, and share knowledge with team members.
Key Qualifications
Strong AEM Experience: Hands-on expertise in AEM Development, including OOTB components (HTL), AEM SPA (React.js), and Headless development.
Front-End Development Proficiency: Skilled in HTML, CSS (SASS/LESS), JavaScript, React.js/TypeScript, and UI frameworks like Material UI.
Accessibility & Standards Compliance: Working knowledge of WCAG standards, responsive design, and web best practices
Other Qualifications
Experience with SQL, XML, JSON, and J2EE
Familiarity with Terminal, Git/GitHub, and Azure DevOps
Experience working in Agile development teams
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in AEM (nice to have)
Experience with AEM Forms pre-fill and submit processes
