Overview:

A leading organization in the Maritime industry is seeking an Application Support Specialist to provide support for port-specific applications. This role focuses on applications that enable operations across ports, rail, and ships--such as Comtrak--ensuring they run smoothly and meet business needs. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and experienced in supporting operational applications in a complex, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical and functional support for port, rail, and ship operations applications (e.g., Comtrak).
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and vendors to maintain system reliability.
Document issues, resolutions, and process improvements to maintain application knowledge.
Assist with application upgrades, patches, and deployments as needed.
Provide guidance and training to end users on system functionality and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

2-5 years of experience supporting business-critical applications.
Experience with maritime, port, or logistics-related applications preferred.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work onsite in Long Beach and manage operational application support effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with ticketing or incident management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
Exposure to application deployment, patching, or basic system configuration.
Experience with systems that support port, rail, or shipping operations.
