The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance while also driving commercial performance and market responsiveness.

This role ensures that all manufacturing activities comply with regulatory standards, meet quality and safety requirements, and align with corporate objectives. The General Manager oversees cross-functional teams including production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and EHS, driving continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

Commercial Strategy: Collaborate with commercial teams to align production capabilities with market demand, optimize product availability, and support business development initiatives.
Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of products and responsiveness to market needs, especially considering the short shelf-life and logistical complexity of radiopharmaceuticals.
Operational Leadership: Oversee all site functions including manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, supply chain, and EHS to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production of radiopharmaceuticals.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to EMA and national regulations, including GMP and radiation protection standards, and lead site readiness for inspections and audits.
Financial Management: Manage site budgets, cost controls, and investment planning to support sustainable growth and profitability.
Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and operational excellence through lean initiatives, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Leadership & Culture: Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, while developing talent and succession planning across the organization.

Education And Experience

Master's degree (or higher) in Pharmacy, Radiochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
Additional qualifications such as an MBA or Executive Leadership Program are highly valued for strategic and commercial leadership.
10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record in pharmaceutical production, including:
Experience managing GMP-compliant facilities and leading regulatory inspections (EMA, national authorities).
Strong background in cross-functional leadership, including QA, RA, EHS, engineering, and supply chain.
Demonstrated ability to align manufacturing operations with commercial strategy, including product launches and market responsiveness.
Familiarity with EMEA regulatory frameworks, including EMA, IAEA, and national radiation safety regulations.
