Position Description

A Business Analyst (BA) specializes in understanding business needs and ensuring the solution addresses them. They play a key role in bridging the gap between IT and the business stakeholders and are responsible for assessing business processes, identifying needs, and ensuring solutions deliver value to stakeholders.

Experience and Skills

Working knowledge of PM best practices.
Ability to understand complex processes and business rules.
Ability to translate technical processes into business language.
General understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design.
Proven testing skills and techniques.
Proven documentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with SDLC best practices.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and meet deadlines.
Experience writing and maintaining test strategies and test plans.
Experience creating and prioritizing test scenarios to ensure proper test coverage.
Experience creating, identifying, reviewing, and executing manual test scripts.
Experience logging defects and enhancements.
Procurement document experience.

Education & Certifications

Education:

Post-secondary education in computer technology (BSc, MSc).

Desired Certifications:

PROSCI certified.
CBAP certified or equivalent.
