Position: Java Solution Architect

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Roles and Responsibilities.

Create solution architecture designs highlighting options, to guide the squads
Ensure alignment with the high-level architecture and/or reference architecture and/or applicable standards
Is responsible for the refinement in a detailed design with sufficient granularity for the development team to implement
Work under guidance of the domain and enterprise architects
Collaborate with and guide engineers in the squads in the domain to implement the approved solution architecture
Passionate about technology, having a strong interest and vision in recent trends in software development and technology in general and the ability to transfer this knowledge back to team
Analytical (understanding complexity and think from the impact point of view not just solving the problem directly)
Having a focus on quality and challenge your colleagues to grow - coding standards and peer code review
Able to speak up and challenge decisions (you ask why things are done instead of just doing them)
Having a collaborative workstyle with focus on achieving goals by helping others to be successful
Working on continuous improvements on business applications and infrastructure as well as on monitoring & alerting in the REST API's Ecosystem
Knowledgeable on Build & deployment processes (Azure DevOps)
having excellent communication skills, can communicate in both business and technical language
Able to Mentoring/guiding more junior engineers
Understanding how your application fits into the entire chain of which it is part.
