Job Title: AI/ML Software Engineer - Defense Systems

Location: Norfolk, VA, USA

Clearance Required: Active Secret or equivalent

We are seeking an AI/ML Software Engineer to develop secure, scalable AI/ML systems for defense and government projects. The role involves designing, integrating, and deploying AI/ML solutions in classified environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain AI/ML software systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
Implement and optimize machine learning and AI algorithms for defense applications
Develop secure data pipelines and manage AI model integration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AI/ML solutions
Produce technical documentation, code reviews, and reports
Follow DevSecOps practices to ensure secure software deployment

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's in CS, Software Engineering, or related field, or 6+ years of software development experience
Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and secure coding practices
Experience with defense/government AI/ML projects preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
