Mark Sattin Executive search is working with an International rapidly expanding retail and e-commerce business entering a critical stage of growth and value creation. The company is seeking a commercially astute CFO to provide financial leadership through scaling, performance improvement, and preparation for a successful exit.

The CFO will define and deliver the financial strategy needed to support sustained, scalable growth, ensuring the business is operationally robust and investor-ready. Key priorities include strengthening financial systems and controls, improving forecasting accuracy, embedding rigorous performance reporting, and supporting the leadership team in commercial decision-making.

Beyond the operational remit, the CFO will play a central role in shaping and executing the business's growth and exit strategy, bringing challenge, discipline, and clarity to the leadership team. The role requires a balance of strategic insight and hands-on delivery, suited to a finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Uniquely, the client would also consider an ambitious candidate on an upward trajectory, taking a step up into their first autonomous CFO role and joining a fast-growing, retail business with significant potential for value creation.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing businesses, ideally within stock-intensive environments with direct experience managing stock and inventory flows
Proven international experience, ideally operating across multiple markets
Demonstrable track record of driving commercial performance and involvement in a successful exit or transaction
Strong grasp of forecasting, cash management, and operational finance in complex, fast-moving environments
A proactive, high-energy leader with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence at all levels
