Deputy Ward Manager, Oakdale ward, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr

To assist with the management of the ward on a day to day basis by supporting and acting on behalf the ward manager.

To be aware and demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing.

Work in conjunction with other disciplines in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.

To promote evidence based practise and act as an accountable role model and clinical expertise.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months from start date, to cover absence. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

Main duties of the job

We are currently seeking to recruit highly motivated Registered Nurses to work within ward Oakdale ward our stroke rehabilitation ward in YYF

We care for our patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day so you will need to have a flexible approach to take part in a full shift system including nights and weekend working, in some areas on a 12 hour shift system or on a three shift system.
