Job Specifications

For a global customer close to Valenciennes, I am searching for a freelance/portage Network Engineer to provide L2/L3 support.

NAC (Cisco ISE)/ Wi-Fi (Cisco 9800) and switching (cisco catalyst) are the priorities. DNAC (Catalyst Center) knowledge is also good to have.

Responsibilities

Be the SPOC for all network related questions of the client
LAN management on Cisco routing and switching devices
Manage, develop and troubleshoot the Cisco wireless LAN in the factory and the offices areas
Network Access Control with Cisco ISE
Provide load balancing services with F5
Update firewall rules on Palo Alto supporting network changes
Monitor and escalate WAN related issues and provide communication
Support the business in projects that require network services
Plan and manage network change projects (e.g. Network segmentation)
Provide physical installation or troubleshooting support when required
Plan and manage HW and software upgrades
Work with Service Now (ticket system), following ITIL principles
Join your colleagues to perform on-call duty, usually one week per month
Work outside business hours and on weekends if the tasks require it (e.g. for network maintenance)

Profile

Experience in either IT provider organizations or large internal customer IT organisations
Strong experience with Routing, Switching devices, Wireless controllers, Network Access Control
At least 5 years' experience in LAN management
Knowledge of Cisco, Solarwinds and Orion is expected for troubleshooting issues
Good knowledge of F5
Experience in connectivity for IoT devices is a bonus
Wi-fi/Wireless experience
Practical experience in Project planning and Change management
Experience of the EMC environment
Experience in crisis management

SENIORITY: Medior/Senior

START DATE: October (or ASAP!)

DURATION: 12 Months w/extension

CONTRACT: Freelance/Portage

LOCATION: Valenciennes

ONSITE POLICY: 2-3 days per week

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

LANGUAGES: Fluent French
