Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $98.77 – $111.73/hr.

Job Description
The Transmission Line Structural Engineer will lead all engineering tasks related to lattice tower structures and foundations for complex transmission line projects. The role involves advanced technical analysis, field coordination, design review, and leadership in structural engineering practices for SCE transmission systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities / Workload
Lead all transmission line structural engineering tasks related to lattice towers (structure and foundation).
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for PLS Tower analysis/modeling of existing and new lattice structures per ASCE and SCE standards.
Design or review transmission line foundations (drilled shafts, direct embed, micropiles, grillage) using FAD Tools, hand calculations, or equivalent software.
Perform structural load calculations per NESC, California General Order 95, and other applicable codes.
Lead construction administration efforts — coordinate with field teams to resolve design-related issues, support emergency restorations (wildfire, storm events), and conduct field inspections.
Prepare engineering mitigation reports for damaged lattice towers or foundations.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
Foster effective collaboration with internal engineering and construction teams.
Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes, company safety, and regulatory compliance
Required Skills / Attributes
California Civil PE License (Structural preferred).
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
Proficiency in PLS Tower (PLS-CADD) and FAD Tools.
Strong understanding of ASCE, NESC, and California GO 95 standards
Desired Skills / Attributes
California Structural Engineer (SE) License preferred.
Experience mentoring engineers and leading complex structural projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
