Job Specifications

As an IC hardware Validation Developer, you work on innovative solutions involving low current and temperature sensing devices with NFC and digital interfaces, as well as system-on-chip designs featuring ARM Cortex processors and machine learning engines with multiple interfaces and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Validation and Verification (V&V) Lead and the validation team to develop and execute IC validation tests.
Define, implement, document, and execute test cases according to the V&V plan, ensuring quality, reusability, and maintainability.
Develop and maintain an automated validation regression suite, integrating new validation test cases into the system.
Provide efficient and clear validation results reporting.
Work closely with V&V engineers, design engineers, and product engineers to ensure alignment across teams.
Follow a structured approach to project development, including proposing effort estimates and planning in collaboration with the V&V Lead.
Adhere to established engineering processes within the department and project.
Regularly report progress and the status of assigned developments.

Location: Leuven, Belgium. Occasional visit to Netherlands

Required Skills and Experience

Programming Expertise:

Proficiency in Python, particularly in structured programming.
Experience with C/C++ programming for low-level or embedded software development aimed at hardware control.

Hardware and Measurement Knowledge:

Familiarity with measurement techniques and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Strong understanding of System-on-Chips (SoCs), particularly their functional interactions.

Validation and Design Skills:

Experience or keen interest in the verification and validation of SoCs.
Background in VHDL/Verilog coding, simulation, and FPGA synthesis is advantageous.
Insights into signal processing systems are a strong plus.

Compliance Standards:

Experience working in organizations adhering to ISO9001 and CMMI standards is an asset.
