QA Engineer (90% manual Testing)

Location: Hybrid – Mountain View, CA (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension)

About the Role

We’re a small, passionate team building next-generation mobile applications that connect drivers with their vehicles. We’re looking for a mid-level QA Engineer (3–7 years) to ensure the quality and reliability of our connected vehicle mobile app. This is a hands-on manual testing role (about 90% manual, 10% automation)

Key Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and identify defects or areas for improvement.
Design, create, and maintain detailed test cases in TestRail.
Execute manual functional and non-functional testing across Android and iOS apps.
Validate vehicle integration and connectivity in collaboration with hardware teams.
Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman.
Track and manage defects using Jira; document test results in Confluence.
Prepare test data, tools, and environments for testing.
Verify bug fixes and ensure thorough regression coverage.
Participate in cross-functional team discussions and Agile ceremonies.
(Occasional travel may be required — approx. 10–15%)

Required Qualifications

3–7 years of QA experience, including 3+ years designing and executing manual test cases.
2+ years testing mobile applications (Android and iOS).
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and defect reporting.
Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and TestRail (or equivalent tools).
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
