About the Opportunity
Westpro Machinery Inc. is looking for a full-time Director of Global Sales & Technology based in Vancouver, BC.
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading Westpro’s global sales operations, driving revenue growth, and aligning technology strategy with the company’s long-term business objectives.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for strengthening global client relationships, guiding a high-performing sales team, and overseeing business development initiatives that advance Westpro’s position as a world leader in mineral processing technology.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading and mentoring a team of four sales professionals, setting clear goals and KPIs
Developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand Westpro’s global market presence
Building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners across North and South America, and internationally
Collaborating with engineering and product teams to align technology solutions with customer needs
Driving the adoption of CRM, analytics, and automation tools to enhance sales efficiency and insight
Representing Westpro at trade shows, conferences, and client events
Overseeing day-to-day operations as the most senior on-site leader in the Vancouver office
Promoting a collaborative, lead-by-example culture focused on quality, teamwork, and customer satisfaction

About You
To qualify, you will need 10+ years of experience in sales within the mining or capital equipment industry, including 5+ years in a sales leadership capacity. Whilst a degree or diploma in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is considered an asset, demonstrated success leading teams and delivering revenue growth in technical or industrial markets will be essential. A combination of education and proven industry experience will also be considered.
The following are required:
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for trade shows and client meetings
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team
Strong understanding of mineral processing systems and capital equipment
Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans across global markets
Familiarity with CRM and productivity tools such as Salesforce and Asana
Skilled in building and maintaining long-term client and partner relationships
Collaborative approach to working with engineering and product teams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
MBA or advanced business qualification considered (asset)
